Vaia Trittas graduated with a Master of Science in Professional Writing from New York University’s School of Professional Studies in May 2021. Her qualitative thesis “The Content Creation Shift: The Impact of the Digital Age on the Minimalism Movement” researched how content creators define and influence contemporary social movement through digital communication. Her research and writing focuses include communication, equity, and representation through digital storytelling.
Prior to pursuing post-graduate study, Vaia received her Bachelor of Arts in Individualized Studies from New York University with a concentration in diversity and empathy in media, literature, and film.
Some of Vaia’s recent projects include a prototype and proposal for a database of songs inspired by literature called Song|Book, a grant proposal to protect Rohingya women and girls in Bangladesh against increased gender-based violence during COVID-19, and an editorial piece about the sustainability and ethical issues of fast fashion. Vaia has also created personal branding campaigns for creatives and aspiring writers.
In addition to these projects, Vaia wrote several proposals for mock businesses and created comprehensive cross-platform promotional campaigns for each service. Among these was an online business called the Urban Upcycler that utilized a peer-to-peer promotional schema to highlight the company’s unique selling proposition of revitalizing old clothes with today’s trends. Vaia also created a mock virtual book club for underprivileged children in low income neighborhoods during the pandemic and outlined a prospective distribution plan for young students to access free books.
Vaia currently works as a Program Administrator and Academic Advisor at New York University’s College of Arts and Science. In her free time, Vaia is involved as a development coach with the arts-in-education nonprofit organization, All Stars Project, Inc., where she helps socioeconomically disadvantaged pre-college students cultivate professional development skills.
